Jun 08: On the way back from Kabul airport after taking our team leader there for a business related trip...our driver, Wesal, took me up on this hilltop to get a different look at the city of Kabul...these adorable and curious Afghan children walked up the hillside from the neighborhood below to check us out...Wesal handed out the few bottles of water we had left in our vehicle. The interesting thing about these children is that they did not beg for anything...around Camp Eggers where our base office is, they children outside the gates are always begging for a handout or trying to sell something to make some money...the children in this picture did not once ask or beg for anything...they were simply curious...a wonderful experience to be able to look into their faces.
