Street side fruit market near Bala Hissar on the way to work...these melons are very delicious and in the spring they come mostly from the area of Jalalabad, about 100 miles east of Kabul closer to Pakistan...the Jalalabad valley area has a climate much like southern California...various fruit/veggie crops grow there most of the year.
