Aug 08: Memorial service at Camp Eggers for a Sergeant from the Texas National Guard working at Camp Eggers who was out in Kabul on patrol when his convoy was hit by an IED (improvised explosive device), and his armored vehicle was blown up and he was killed.
He was in his mid 30's and left a wife and 3 children. The rifle and boots symbolize the fallen Soldier...around the boots are some of his personal items.
