8 Sep 08: Getting ready to go on leave...this is one of my team members, Gene Sampel, in uniform and floppy hat, and the other two are our team drivers...Wesal (Way-ZAHL) left, Saifuddin (Sigh-EFF-oo-DEAN) right. Gene is from Fargo, North Dakota. Wesal and Saif are from the Afghan Province of Panjsher, north of Kabul...they are tough guys, tough fighters from previous wars here, but very good drivers and we get along with them very well.
